Laser Hair Removal

We offer virtually painless hair removal, using the newest technology of SopranoLite. The Gold Standard 810 diode wavelength is backed by years of clinical proven effectiveness. Combined with Super Hair Removal (SHR™), we offer virtually painless hair removal without sacrificing efficacy or comfort.
We are able to treat common areas such as legs, underarms, upper lip, chin, and bikini line. It’s possible to treat unwanted hair in nearly any area — except the eyelid or surrounding area.

What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a laser, which is an intense pulsating beam of light, to remove unwanted hair. During laser hair removal, a laser beam passes through the skin to an individual hair follicle. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, which inhibits future hair growth.

It effectively slows hair growth and is one of the best options for permanent hair reduction. It typically takes multiple laser hair removal treatments to provide an extended hair-free period. Maintenance treatments might be needed as well.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

Common treatment locations include legs, underarms, upper lip, chin, and bikini line. However, it’s possible to treat unwanted hair in nearly any area — except the eyelid or surrounding area.

Hair color and skin type influence the success of laser hair removal. For example, it is most effective for people who have light skin and dark hair because the laser beam targets the pigment (melanin) in the hair. But with our advanced device, laser hair removal is still an option for people who have darker skin. We do not recommend treatment for white, grey, or red hair because the laser can’t “see” the lighter hair.

How many treatments do you need?

For best results, you might need six to eight treatments, depending on each individual. Additional maintenance treatments of once every six to 12 months may be needed. Treating a small area, such as the upper lip, might take only a few minutes. Treating a larger area, such as the back, might take several hours.

About Soprano Lite

The Gold Standard 810 diode wavelength is backed by years of clinical proven effectiveness. Combined with Super Hair Removal (SHR™), we offer virtually painless hair removal without sacrificing efficacy or comfort.

The Soprano Lite’s patented SHR technology works by gradually heating the skin to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicle. This means that hair follicles don’t have to be exposed to a single pulse of high energy, which can injure the skin and cause pain. At the same time, the Soprano Lite protects the surrounding tissue.

The combination of 810 diode, SHR and cooling gives us the ability to offer a superior laser hair removal experience and achieve greater results.

How to plan for your procedure

All of our laser hair removal treatments start with a consultation to determine which areas are to be treated and if you are a right candidate for the procedure.

During your consultation our laser specialist will discuss a treatment plan and related costs. She will also advise you on all the pre-treatment protocols for the most effective and safe results.

What to expect during your treatment

Before laser hair removal, the hair in the treatment area might be trimmed with razor. You’ll also be given special goggles to protect your eyes from the laser beam. The laser specialist will apply a cooling gel to your skin to reduce any discomfort during treatment. She will then press a hand-held laser device along the targeted area. Some discomfort in the skin is possible.

What to expect after your treatment

You might notice redness and swelling for the first few hours after laser hair removal. To reduce any discomfort, apply ice to the treated area.

After laser hair removal, avoid sun exposure — both natural sunlight and tanning beds. When your skin has healed, use sunscreen whenever you’re in the sun. You may notice hair shedding in the first few days and weeks after treatment.
